My mate s1 has done something strange today, battery light came on constantly and when he rev'd the car the bat light did not go dim or do anything at all.

Switched it off, went to re-start it about 5mins after, this time its got no ignition lights coming on the clocks, no bat light, no oil light, no handbrake light, ALSO REV COUNTER DOESN'T WORK? but the headlight no 1 setting makes the light in the clocks light up when u put your headlights on.

Even stranger the car still starts up and runs, any ideas as to whats happened? i'm lost now and have no idea i have the same problem on my s2 aswell, car starts but mine switch's off after its been running for 3-4mins, as if someone has just pulled the main coil lead off it whilst its been running.

any ideas would be appreciated to help us both, especially the s1
