I went to the garage today.
The car is still for sale its moved into the show room.
Had a look around it and found the following bad things.
Front bumper has had paint and looks terrible, the bootlid dosn't fit right, it dosn't align with the rear wings. There's a big rust spot around the drivers side door lock. Back wheel arches are showing signs of rust. The paint work has the usual polishing ring marks which show up more with the metalic colour in the show room lights.
The good points are that all the panels are straight (apart from boot lid), wheels look good, engine bay is tidy, still has the original seals on the inner wings to the slam panel. Interior looks good. Its fitted with a CD player and a radio cassette. The sales man showed me loads of history with the car. In fact the history comes from the same guy who has serviced my car.
As the guy was talking i got the idea that he wanted to move this car quickly.
Told me its up for £4995 but i could have it for £4500. I told him its to expensive then he said he could proberbly do it for £4000 if it was a quick sale before the end of the month
If your looking for a prestige 4x4 then this is not the car for you.
If your looking for a good straight 4x4 with history that your willing to spend some money on the paintwork then this car is for you if you get it for £4000
For £4000 i think its worth you having a look.
He gave me his number to give to you. 01673 866524 or 07739 390036 His name is Ralph McGarvey
The latest services on the car are by a guy called Chriss bellamy who i know well, i will try and contact him friday and ask him about it. Let you know.
Regards Paul.
