If its the bottom end of the M6 ie:up to around junction 3 that's exactly where I got caught doing 104mph. I had to attend court in Loughborough and with a lot of ass-kissing and using my job as an excuse I just (and I really do mean just) managed to escape with 6 points and £200 fine.

They had actually decided to ban me, but changed their minds at the last min. I would tell your boss to expect a ban, then anything less is a bonus.

I certainly didnt get off lightly tho, my insurance doubled because all 6 points were issued in one go, apparently if you get 2 lots of 3 points its not seen as being as bad
