Thing is though mate, is that you are a total enthusiast when it comes to these cars with a lot of experience, with respect to Julia she is new to it all and wouldn't know the ins and outs of what goes where and what does what as she has only owned her S2 for a short time.

That's not a dig at her at all, but she did say above - "What im scared of is buying it, and finding my dad fucks off and leaves me with something Im not sure about, or in case I just cant be assed."

If you have any element of can't be arsed then you will never see the project through - and as we all know - the S1 is a temperemental beast at the best of times!

I've owned an XR3, 3 XR31's, an S2 turbo, an S1 turbo together with an XR4i and an XR2 and I wouldn't attempt a full restoration. I can find my way round the bay and other parts, but to start stripping and labelling parts, sourcing parts and then having to weld, paint and put it all back together would be beyond me....
