We always seem to get our butt kicked at any of the TOTB type events, with the excuse that our cars are mainly track weapons (Dingly

). So how about us getting a few of our bestest "track weapons" (AKA Dingly

)entered to show what the old Fords can do?
Date is: Saturday 25th June
Venue is: Rockingham
Website is:

Would love to see some of the track-day regulars showing the Jap boys the way it is done (as it seems most of them couldn't drive a slippery stick up a dog's arse - with a few exceptions obviously

).
Anyone else interested?
Gareth Lloyd, Lee (AKA Porkie) and myself are up for it

, should be a good day mixing it with the Jap cars.
The good thing is that following on from PFs recommendations (the post that Lee put up a few months ago) they have also split the event into fwd, rwd and 4x4 categories, so even the quick RSTs will have a good chance of coming away with some of the top honours (Ollie?

). Also, no Radicals / Cater-fields etc are allowed, so it is proper "road legal" cars with road legal tyres only etc

.
Basically the Practice & Qualifying for the Time Attack will run on a section of the infield course at Rockingham. Cars will have transponders fitted and will be timed over the course.
The Time Attack Final will be run with the top 15 finalists. The final will be the only event happening on the circuit at the time. The final will consist of an outlap (all finalists will be queued in the main pits and start from here), then a flying lap (timed), then a slow down for returning to the pits. The practice & qualifying circuit will be different to the final circuit. For this reason they will be holding an 'open circuit' test session for the drivers to familiarise themselves with the final circuit. This session will be the top 12 qualifiers, 3 wildcards, and 5 reserves. This test session therefore will have 20 of the top drivers and cars 'practising' with an open pitlane to allow for tweaks etc., if required. This would be awesome seeing the top cars on track together
