ere geeza ,depends, wot u got, busas pick up about 4-6 thou revs,me r1, 5-7 thou, quite torque-ee motors+power to weight,me 1100 wing (yep you read rite) gets up 4-6 thou,(dressed too, aspencade) but the wing slams hard landings and then busts me seals, which then need to be taken off + reset(special leakproof ones),,,,me m8s 2000 spec zx9 picked up a more revy 7-9 thou, and was a bit more peaky.engine note noise helps you learn the power curve at first but i do reccomend ear plugs ,as 15 years rideing everything gives very slight tinitus,"use the torque luke","feel the force",the quitest lid ive had is my roof diversion, superb lids if the face fits, big chins dont fit in em,best boots ,daytona security evos, bit dear tho, only serious mono-ers apply, feel is the best way to learn monos, grip the tank with your knees,if you slip back in the seat ,the movement will make you excellerate on the throttle resulting in a flip,,,keep the rest of your body supple+remember to breath, lots of people hold their breath which tenses the muscles,if you think its too high move your torso forward mid mono to give you more control,+ confidence, juss take it easy ,3 yes 3 seasons of practice should see you on your way to a few decent controlled mingers, you have all the time you need,do it at your pace, cheers crimbo !!!
