Posting for Phil2400....His Saph Cos has had a missfire/hesitation
for ages........

A few days back he did a leak down test and it showed air bubbles in the header tank, so he thought it would be the head gasket. Took head off and the gasket was fine BUT he found a crack in one of the bores

Is this block now scrap OR can it be fixed with a steel liner????

What causes a crack in the bore like that (will put pics up later)....poor casting???
