NTL Kit:

I follow all the instructions, install hardware and software in the correct order (apprently its succesful installation) but the PC with the router doesn't recognise it is connected. Ive been through all the driver options etc for it. Strange thing is that even when the router isn't noticed by the PC it's connected to - the second PC with the wireless adapter seems to pick up the signal and i can access the net on it, but i still can't share files or resources.

I then tried a new kit from PC World that involved installing wireless network card into the available PCI slots, then each computer didn't recognise that they were there.

The problem will be nothing to do with the wireless signal and construction of the house - it is newish - cordlessphones work fine.

Three of us have now tried installation each of the two network systems many times without much luck! We are all highly competent with IT.

As you can imagine after spending of 300quid on this shit, im eager to get a network that will actually work.
