You would be better of with a 12v testlight, connect the test light clip to the positive (+) on the battery, put the spike of the testlight into pin 1 on the ignition ECU with the connector connected to the ECU (remove the plastic top cover on the connector).

Crank the car over and the light should come on/flash.
