I agree a stud and nut kit. This can be reused over and over as there is no stretch/angle to to do when torqing up.Gives a much better(more even)clamping force.
Make sure the block and head are spotless if your going with a steel gasket as they are much less forgiving with any imperfections on the mating surfaces.
