Aye turbo stalling is bad,not so much to worry about on low boost applications but it can result in the impeller breaking up and/or the turbo shaft snapping. If you have a decent turbo you wouldnt off thought you'd want that to happen. Not to mention any small metal parts be swallowed by the engine.
