Cosworth Air Temperature sensor, supplier, size, resistance
I have converted my car (non Cossie, but c. 500 BHP 2.5 litre single turbo 4 wheel drive, <1300kg fully dressed) from mass airflow to speed density with a microcontroller that takes RPM, MAP and TPS and simulates a MAF signal. This allows me to run a 4" inlet without a MAF sensor that gets air blast or turbulence from a Garrett GT series turbo.
Proper speed density requires charge temperature compensation.
I can hook in an NPT thermistor into my wiring loom and connect it to ground.
Now the reason for posting here... I was told that the Cosworth air temperature probe is a nice piece, with fast action, little heatsoak and ruggedized.
Anyone know the specs - eg. resistance at 20 or 25 degrees Celcius, what sort of fittings it has, any pics, details of a supplier? Are there lots of different sensors depending on model?
Thanks very much for any input.
