Hi All I’m having some bother with my YB that’s been in a Mk2 escort for last 6 years and never missed a beat at all 👍 Till now !
It’s developed a random non start problem after been sat for 6 months it started 1st click as usual to move it in the garage and then 3 weeks wouldn’t go !
I didn’t hear the pump prime on the ignition and it had no spark at the coil had 10 mins looking over it but had to leave it for a hour then started straight away 🤯 But ran rough and very rich till it got warm but then drove 5 miles perfect
changed the usual CPS, Phase and ECT and Swopped the ECU for a my spare still same !
I’ve tested the fuel pressure at idle all ok but I’ve no pump priming with ignition live? Only primes when cranking and then starts and runs fine
So there’s no feed to the pump relay from the ECU till it cranks ? Is that normal or am I looking at ECU faults
I’m sure I read some where about the YB not priming when a sensor goes down but I can’t find it again
