Default Focus st mk2 misfire

Hey there

I was after a little bit of help and advice on something if possible please

I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of a lumpy engine over the last year and I’ve decided I need to ask for help.

So it started with the rpms bouncing a bit and then started with a mild misfire.

So I tried the usual, sparks, coils, map, maf, check grounds, new battery and got no where. Did a vac leak test and sniff test, no issues. I had just had the cam belt and water pump done and they were done properly with the locking tool all timed right.

I got a code checker and had 1260 and 0017 which are for the pats and the cam crank correlation.

So I changed the cam sensor and vvt and got nothing. So I ordered a crank sensor and as I went to start it (on a warm day) it ran smooth. So I left it.

I went to start it on a cold morning and got the lumpy idle back. But as the day warms up the idle gets better. If it’s a cold day, it’s lumpy even if I try to let it warm up and sometimes stalls.

All temperatures on the car look good, ambient, coolant, oil and pressure. Just super lumpy on a cold day and runs good on a warm day. Could it be the crank sensor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
