Hi mates. I'm thinking of going ZVH on my ERST. My only problem is that i live Faroe Island and due to having to import a 2.0 Silver top block, im thinking of why not just get a workshop in UK to build a forged bottom and then ship it here and save a fortune instead of importing bit by bit and pay the extreme high price that the machine shops here charge.
So my question goes mostly out to the ZVH owners. Who built your engine, and what spec does it have and how much did it cost? I already got a P&P CVH head with a Kent 35 laying around, that i'm going to use. Yeah.. Newman with solid lifters would be better, but when you own one..
And yeah.. Many will say "Why not just turbo a Zectec?" Well.. I like the engine bay with the CVH top much more then the 16v and it keeps it more period correct. And i'm not going crazy bhp for drag racing or anything. Just a good engine with better bottom torque that the CVH.
