I have a 36-1 trigger tooth and 1 off dizzy that tuner can’t get working with link ecu. Problem is car won’t start consistently. Sometimes must switch off/on and crank a few times, may backfire on occasion. It’s electrical because when the car starts it starts instantly so there’s not point in cranking for more than 2 seconds. The tuner says it’s the 36-1 causing the issue it can’t pickup the teeth (may mean gap). He’s a very reputable, seasoned tuner and has tried all sort of changes and big measures to see if anything changes but it’s remained, and these cars are not common here. His solution is going back to 4 teeth with hall affect sensor on both trigger and add one to dizzy. Does this sound like a solution or is there a know reason the 36-1 doesn’t play well with this engine / setup?
