I would expect you’d get a problem with the speedo cable making a huge bend to connect it to the cluster. Normally the cable goes in a straight line from the cluster to the bulk head, but now it needs to move 15 to 20 cm to the side over a very short distance. The cable is not going to like that and I expect the needle of the speedo will be bouncing up and down because of it. Better get a cluster with the speedo in the correct place.
