*** please delete - my mistake these aren’t the airbag wires. ***

I’m about to fit this set of ST220 recaros to my mk3 titanium x but it looks like someone has cut the airbag wires. Any ideas why these would be cut? The plug was left in the connect bracket so I’m thinking to just reconnect them to the plug and hope they don’t go off when I start the car!
