You'll find out as soon as you've checked the fuel pump power feed. After that it's checking step by step (when not having power to the fuel pump).

Probably not. I've just checked in my MK6 (2002-2008) Fiesta ST as I wasn't sure. Separated key and remote, the immobiliser parts are in the remote section of the whole key. When you turn the ignition on (without the immobiliser parts in place) the fuel pump will prime AND the LED will start flashing. You'll notice that without any doubt.
