If you are truly wanting to do a conversion, then start with a 2.0 Silvertop (Zetec), again from a Mondeo but earlier marks. Its the easiest conversion known to man, is dirt cheap to do, and is documented thousands of times over the internet. Its a nice little gain especially if you chuck some cams/decent manifolds etc on at the same time.
Thank you for replay and for advice. I know 300 000 is a lot , but then again i have seen those engines with 500 000 km, hence my question. From what I have read on internet , duratec is much better for tuning (putting turbo etc.) , for "endgame" so to say. I have looked for zetec's from focus and mondeo , but it is quite difficult to find one with decent mileage. As you said ,I have to start somewhere and I have great willingnes to learn. I would perfere if it was duratec , but i am also opened to suggestions . A list of what has to be done , or maby if there is link to some other forum where it's allready explained. Srry for my english, not a native speaker.
