Well my start quetion is the same .. would I be able to use a Mk1 XR4i fuel tank on my 88/89 Cosworth...
,..,only thing Im in doubt about is the hole for the level sensor ... all other looks the sam.
No my old tank is ok ,,except for the return hose stud and the vent hose stud who both have some small holes...
if you really needed to use to use a different tank cut out the top of the saff tank around where the sender goes in. do the same on the different tank but slightly smaller then brase or silver solder it together with lthe over lap joint. thats if you can clean the saff tank as they get very rusty in that erea
