Also, has maybe one of you a picture showing that extra tooth that is providing the signal to the flywheel sensor?
I couldn't find it on my flywheel.

Hopefully one of you can help me out here.

Thanks in advance,

The RS1600i was a car built for Group A motorsport purposes and was the first production Ford that came with a computer controlled wasted spark ignition. Back in the days this was (mostly) a very new technology and there weren't many manufacturers using such ignition systems. That's why they all usually used individual solutions for sensors, ECUs and other parts. I've never seen an aftermarket CPS for the RS1600i. And I'm sure these aren't available as new old stock at Ford (part no. 9059041).

So you've got three options:

1. be patient and look for a good used sensor
2. convert the car to mechanical XR3i distributor (worst decision)
3. Use an aftermarket ECU and an external CPS setup that bolts to the oil pump. Burton sells these.

When you're looking for a missing teeth (or cut-outs like the later EFI CVHs and Zetecs had) on your flywheel, you won't find them. The RS1600i CPS uses the starter ring gear. And there's one teeth plated with a special metal so the ECU knows where the TDC is.
