Thanks for the reply! It looked quite "new" though, as mint matt black all around, no signs of old paint having vanished over it. TBH seems as if it never was painted at all, more like a base primer. I have heard Ford did no longer paint engine bays for some models at some point to save costs, but no idea if it happened with the Turbo. I had an 88 one many years ago, and for sure it was all around white. Same will all pics I can google. The outside has been resprayed in white in a quite poor manner, but no weird panel gaps, creases or anything like that as far as I can tell. Smells weird, but the car is overall well looking.
