Default New front springs riding too high!

Just put new front struts and springs in on my 2009 1.6 tdci. It seems to be sitting about an inch or maybe two too high now.

Used Reg to select the parts on AutoDoc. Ridex 188C0072.

The strut is seated into the knuckle.

I am guessing these springs might be for a 1.8 or something with a bigger engine? Is the 1.6 diesel lump aluminium?

Looking at all the various parts on AutoDoc, I did see some springs that are 21mm shorter. Part 188C1988

Do I waste £60 getting these or might there be something not seated correctly. Car has just passed an MOT like this so not too worried but it does look a bit 'squated truck'!EDIT: just had a look on Fords parts website and they list no fewer than 11 different parts codes for front springs on my Reg! Needless to say none of the part codes match the oem code for the Ridex part...

Ridex part is supposed to be equivalent to ford parts 1348882, 1348881, 4M51-5310-BDA .

Ford lists these for a 2009 1.6 tdci focus
