Default unknown ECU modification

Hello everyone,

since this is my first post a short introduction.
I'm from Germany, and own a S1 Escort RS Turbo from 1985. The car is currently not in a drivable condition. The engine has to be rebuild.

Now to my question: In my spare parts I found another ECU. The Cover has the markings V85AB-12A297- and 043523, also blue-red-blue squares. So this should be a Series One ECU.
A Motorola logo with the year 1984 is printed on the solder side. The PCB has handwritten markings "241-02" and "T8" on it.

now to the modification I found:
The chip is a Motorola MC68701S micro-controller with EPROM, the metal cover is missing. This controller isn't directly soldered to the PCB, it's in a DIP-40 socket that was obviously later soldered in. Two capacitors near the crystal oscillator were also resoldered.
There is a simple sticker on the chip with a inscription "SERIAL NO." and a handwritten serial number "RS1005".

I had never installed this ECU in my S1, dont't know exactly from were I've get it.

Is the Motorola MC68701S the normal controller for this ECU?
Is this from a known tuning company or maybe some DYI tuning?
Can anybody think of what was modified on it? rev or boost limit, or spark ignition curves?

greetings from Laboe/Germany
