Default Converting my Son's Subaru Impreza WRX into a track day car.

I know it's not a Ford but my Son has always liked Japanese cars and I have been helping him covert his 2000 Subaru Impreza WRX STI into a track day car. We have done a lot of modifications to it and it should have about 380bhp which should be fun.It will have a later model engine which has got the 6 speed gearbox. We have uprated the suspension, brakes, exhaust, fitted a roll cage with racing seats and racing harness seat belts. The engine has a bigger turbo and bigger injectors, boot mounted swirl pot fuel system, oil cooler, large front mounted intercooler and high flow alloy radiator. It will have the later ecu wired in as well.My son is great at wiring and the mechanical things and I take car of cleaning and painting /polishing.It will have 18 x 8 inch alloys with track Day Tyres and rolled arches to make sure the wheels clear the bodywork ok. The new engine is in but not fully fitted up yet but we should have everything finished for next Spring track days. I will take my Focus Estate with the wheels/tyres jack and tools etc and my Son will drive it to the track on it's road wheels and tyres. Here are a few photos of some of the work so far.

Everything is either new or repainted.

brand new rear brakes.

had to do a bit of welding but new seam sealer and paint.

massive AP front brakes.

All nicely sealed and painted underneath.

new coil overs and springs.

Re painted engine bay ready for engine to go in.
