Finally after 7 months of storage, while my back is playing up and i've had to push customers work back, decided it be nice to get my mondeo out for a wash and see what it actually needs to be road worthy.

After a wash, went in had some grub ect and came out and have a massive crack in my front window. ( was previously a small crack prior ) but now has spread far ( a good 6 inches )

Of course it's not mot taxed or insured but a new window is just shy of £800!

Can i get insurance without mot or tax so i can atleast claim on the insurance and not get hit so hard?

My renewal is due end of june, was for my van but getting scrapped and for my wifes car.

Any ideas before i give up and put it away and not bother...
