Hi mate, yea all teeth on both starter and flywheel were fine… with new starter fitted and no plugs the whole engine spins smooth as can be… the second it fires up under its own steam it makes this horrible sound like a ring scraping… hard to explain but it’s horrible and you turn it straight off.

Would a starter locking up be strong enough to stop an engine dead on tick over?? Or could the starter just be a coincidence 🙈
