It's probably the same engine like the 1,9 Hurricane CVH.

These were based on the 1,8 CVH (Sierra only) crankshaft with 88 mm stroke instead of the 80 mm of the 1,6 CVH. With standard pistons you'll get about 1770 ccm. The key was reboring the cylinders. Hurricane used Audi 80 5E oversized pistons (standard was 81 mm, oversize was 81,5 and 82 mm). These engines had ~1860 ccm but keep in mind... 2 mm reboring will result in a very thin cylinder wall. That's the reason why many of these engines didn't last long.

Herbst Motorsport in Germany also sold a custom made 92 mm crankshaft, with a rebore to 81 mm you'll get about 1900 ccm. But these are rarer than rocking horse shit.

Like said before: 1,6 CVH and maybe a full Zetec engine. The third option might be a ZVH. Won't make that much power (even with a good cylinder head) but at least as much as a 1900 CVH plus you can keep the original look (mostly).
