The standard L8 image (from http://rpm.planetaclix.pt/ecu/IAWeprom.htm, btw) ran much better, however it still wasn't perfect (probably the fact that it didn't know anything about the bigger 803 injectors?).

Out of desperation, I tried an unknown EPROM that came with my engine (which was all in bits when I bought it), labelled as "Cos 4x4 803". Clearly for dark greens, but for what else, I don't know; since the engine was a non-runner and has been since completely nut-and-bolt rebuilt, including a refurbished T3, MSD loom, wasted spark, radtec fmic, closed-loop added, etc.

I was amazed that it ran far, far better than it ever had in the past - I could get a steady idle around 950rpm once warm, from cold the ISCV worked, and I could also set the AFR to 13.3-13.5, which according to my conversion chart, should be in the ballpark for 3% CO. None of those things I've been able to achieve in the past. I'll give the guys at MSD a shout to see if they can help me figure out the issues with the pre-written Evolution chip, since they've been really helpful with my other purchases.
