Can't say I've ever encountered a "snap" using a 6 paddle on cable. Only snapping I've ever had (literally ) is the clutch ratchet as already mentioned. But if you're billet, it isn't that.

How olds the cable? Might be dried out and causing snagging internally which makes it feel shite at the pedal...
