not familiar with that ecu or what engine you're using it on but consider the following:

if its a speed density setup (e.g. YB cosworth turbo) the throttle pot is used to tell the ecu the rate at which you open the throttle (not the specific position of it) so that it can enrich fuel correctly and also to allow the ecu to cut fuel at deceleration (closed throttle & higher revs)

for that reason you may be able to work around the switch problem of the pf01 by connecting a resistor from the wiper connection to ground so when the throttle is closed the ecu sees 0v. from memory the total resistance of the track is 500ohms so perhaps a 10k resister would be fine.

in the software you usually 'teach' the ecu the voltage at fully closed throttle and also at fully open although the specific voltages at those points are not critical and neither is the linearity which would suffer slightly with this approach.

easy to try if you cant find a fp09
