Go find a competent mechanic instead of those clowns. Or just scrap it.
But used turbos for such a vehicle seem to be around £50-100 on ebay. £700 does seem bollox no matter what way it is dressed up.

They did stick it on a ramp and inspect it and that’s what they said they found, but the cost for the whole job sounds ludicrous!
I’ll see if I can get a second opinion and cost, or maybe a few and decide what to do.
I’m not working and not able to claim any benefits so money is beyond tight!
