So it's blown clean off the mountings....yet they just plugged something in and read some meaningless codes and did no proper diagnosis ?

Go find a competent mechanic instead of those clowns. Or just scrap it.

But used turbos for such a vehicle seem to be around £50-100 on ebay. £700 does seem bollox no matter what way it is dressed up.
