Can't say i know the car, but it does look pretty clean other than the stated flaws.
Other than the obvious ridiculousness of the market (£32k for a run of the mill Escort is just beyond my comprehension), what would concern me more is the running gear. 12k over that many years - how has the engine been treated, short runs or no runs at all, neither are great for any engine. Bushes/Suspension etc, i know it says its been stored most of its life, but unless its been in a temperature controlled environment, those bushes and components are going to want replacing by now.
If mileage is all you really care about then this is the kind of car for you, but I know there have definitely been better examples for that kind of price in the past so definitely worth shopping about. Equally, if you just want something that "looks" new, then there are plenty of people who restore these to a good/great quality, and yes they'll often be non-standard, but at least there is usually some kind of evidence of the work undertaken.
I'd much rather take RS-Mats car, or Twins car, knowing i could jump on a restoration thread on here and see all the work that has been undertaken and the quality of every little detail, than take a 30yr old car that has sat in a garage where you're heavily reliant on assuming because its low mileage it means its been well looked after in every respect.

Your choice at the end of the day, so all very much IMO
