If it were me tho, I'd fit rivnuts into the sills so you could secure it properly and remove without having to cut/rebond everytime. But only if i had faith the sill had the strength (tho if it didnt have the strength to support a skirt then I'd be addressing that anyway).

Its a modification, therefore insurance should be made aware. Reality is its probably a 50/50 split on whether people inform their insurers on adding a kit, but is it worth having your insurance invalidated for the sake of a couple of bumpers and skirts if you do stack it, or get crashed into..
thanks the sills are fine but just the fact this car very easy and prone to rusting so thought bashing anything into the sill would worry me that it could cause holes and make it rot out. Tiger seal seems safest option in terms of not causing rust but yeah if i ever had to take them off (cant think what for though?) how easy is tiger seal to remove if needed? also would MOT want to remove them to check the sills are safe?

any clues on the insurance could they put the price up? when i told them about zetec s alloys it made no difference but alloy wheels are very common now.
