With a 6 degree beam the car has less understeer as the toe change on the standard beam pushes the front of the car wide. And when the car oversteers the 6 degree beam makes it much more predictable because the toe and camber change is much less. The standard beam can make the rear quite snappy. All in all the car is much better balanced with a 6 degree beam.
