From what hat I can see in that picture the door pillars looked fuckered to me and certainly wouldn’t feel the same again even it it was repaired
With that amount of damage it will be a write off for certain. All I hope for his sake he has got an agreed value policy and if he can buy it back as well from the insurance company he should be ok. Insurance Companies these days seem to write off cars with damage which years ago would have been repaired. Getting the parts is the biggest problem now with Saffs.
Years ago when I had a 1600e Cortina in Australia It got rammed in the rear by a big lorry which then sent me crashing into the back of a bus. Loads of damage but fully repaired by a Ford main dealer with genuine Ford parts. Those were the days when spare parts were plentiful and cheap from Ford main dealers!!
