Default Dump valve Mk4 Rs Turbo

Hi guys!

I'm a current owner of a mk4 Rs turbo. Vehicle is running efi conversion, cossie green injectors, water injection, stage 3 head, Accralite pistons, Burton rods and a stage 3 turbo technics turbo.

As I was on the dyno last year (237whp at 1.2 bar) I noticed my baileys twin piston dump was not dumping the boost out, and all I could hear the actuator. Sadly as on the dyno my T34 hybrid blew before we could take it to our 2 bar target.

Is it possible that the turbo detonated due to the fact the dump valve was not releasing the boost pressure and the pressure went back to the turbo?

I have replaced the turbo now with a stage 3 T3. Should I replace the spring on my twin piston baileys dump valve? Was thinking maybe now I have gone efi it should be a single piston dumb valve for a fiesta RST. Or perhaps just removing the dump valve all together.

Any advice or recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!!
