With it fitted there is no tension at all in the neutral position. My std linkage springs back to below 3rd gear when you come out of any gear. Made it easy to select 1st as you throw it left and up to get first. With this used in anger I have found myself coming from 5th to 1st looking for 3rd. It can also get reverse straight down from 5th as there is no notch to push it down over.
I binned the two neutral spring tensioners from the normal linkage like it said, but I have it all in bits at the moment looking for a way to refit them again as it may save me a big engine rebuild if I keep it on.
Does yours do it ? Maybe its faulty in some way but it didn't impress me. Dont get me wrong the throw is shorter yes, but it is causing me big problems at the moment.
There must be something wrong, mine is absolutely spot-on. It sits perfectly below third gear and it always returns there without any problems. Because of how short it is, it is far harder to set up than a standard shifter as any adjustment is magnified. Did you follow the instructions to the word? i.e. Did you use their grease in all the right places? The Blue spherical bush is critical, was that fitted correctly with the O-Rings etc? Have you got any play in the cars linkage? Next time I see you at an event, you'll have to see what mine is like.
