turbotrev I had Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres years back and they were rubbish!!!!, tramlining and no grip at all , it was like driving on ice. A couple of times coming off a roundabout in 2nd and flooring it the Saff ended up facing back the way I had come which was a bit scary!! Swapped over to the Federal595 RSR tyres and it made a massive difference to grip. Not sure what you thought was wrong with them Trevor but I am on my 2nd set and still pleased with them.
My supra on pirellis was spinning all the time, 0-100 mph over 10 seconds, I fitted r888s and went 0-100 mph in 7 seconds straight away
I cannot emphasis enough how good r888s are they are the best summer road tyres by far ime
And I've had a few big power cars to get the power down and they just work, utterly useless in the wet but any tyre will be with big power
