Everyone says torque is want you want more of blah blah blah but I don’t believe that’s always true, get a nice big wide hp powerband and a high torque figure doesn’t matter that much.

Look at some of the quickest cossies out there and they are all ‘older spec’, Chris Lockes GT30 setup with very similar power to Jim’s old saff is one of the quickest if not the quickest rwd cossie over a quarter mile.

Ive not driven a ‘big torque’ spec cossie but Imo they probably just feel quicker because of the early peak torque but in reality they ain’t.... but I get they probably feel nicer to drive

Your spot on It's definitely the torque that breaks traction mate since my rs6 was mapped it's alot worse, don't get me wrong when it grips it's quicker than ever with the extra power and torque but it's alot more often that it doesn't grip and TC cuts in and it actually ends up slower

And your also correct it feels faster, much faster the kick in the back low rpm is immense
