So recently bought an Escort RS1600i that has been standing since 1998.

I've changed the fuel tank, pump and filter, metering unit and fuel pump relay but it still does the same thing, which is start (almost immediately) run at 2,000rpm max (foot to the floor) for around 2 seconds and then cuts out.

Anyone got a good suggestion at what I can test to help define the issue? I'm assuming flywheel sensor or ECU possible ay this stage?
