You can’t turn the AEBS on a daf it’s a legal requirement. That truck would have dabbed the brakes once that car was in camera range. It would of had a warning light on the dash. If the system wasn’t working it would of had a warning light on. I’ve road tested loads with emergency braking faults as I work on dafs. It’s a very sensitive system. People always say it’s at fault but it’s doing it’s job. You can turn off the lane departure warning.
Done a late shift run last yesterday for a company I work for on and off. 65 plate Daf CF400 4x2 Unit. As you can see as pictured switch on the dash to disable AEBS and message on dash screen to say you have done so. As said earlier in the thread can definitely be switched off certainly on earlier registered vehicles.
