Straightliners have quite a few through the year.

then there's the odd Vmax type event. Although they can be a fairly closed event in some respects. And TBH, after some recent incidents and the idiots involved blaming organisers...they might become even more closed.

Some dimwits owning/driving very fast cars is a recipe for disaster if they cannot control the car or themselves, and know when enough is enough, and to take things in a controlled manner.
People like that will see all sorts of motorsport shut down, and they need to be weeded out from events.
