you should probably start with the 2.0 block if you're looking for lots of power as taking almost 5mm out of a 1.8 zetec bore will seriously weaken it. if you want high compression then you'll need pistons with some sort of dome like JE 218797 (https://www.jepistons.com/Products/298717.aspx) compression ratio with these should be somewhere around 11:1
