Mine was when i was a class 2 driver.
Driving up the M1 in a 17t Container truck when i happend to notice a Eddie Stobart driver sitting up my arse, thought nowt of it.
Next thing i know he's besides me going mad caus someone ficked a fag out of the window, which hit his screen
He now decides to push me on the Hard shoulder, so i'm go Ape at this time.....Told the fecker to pull over, so he pulls in behind me and i slam on the anchors on the hard shoulder and get out.
Now there's 5 of us in the truck, 2 happened to be Moari's (who were fuckin HUGE)
So out he jumps give it the large, i go over to him and he starts squaring up to me, mumbles something then precides to threaten to break my nose.........so me being the hot headed kinda guy preceded to lay into him (quite like my face!! even if the missus don't!!)
So we have what the lads discribe as a one side ruck, which resulted in him laying on the floor of the hard shoulder, at this point i thought this had gone abit too far so i backed off.
Went to turn round and he's got up reached to the back of his truck and pulled out a broom stick handle!! He rushed at the other fella's who were in the truck with it, and whacked a couple.
I rush round to the cab to get a bigger stick( baseball bat ) out from the back of my cab just to ward him off!
I jump in the drivers side, grab it, go to open the door and there he is waving this stick at me. So i kick down at him to get him away from the door which worked.
Turn back round to hide the bat in the back, in the time it took me to hide it & turn back round he's back at the door.
Well caus i turned round and wasnt aware of it he took his chance and smash the broomstick (which was in half by this time) into my face..................................
Well to cut a long story short i nearly lost my sight in the right eye, had to spend the whole weekend have emergency test's, Steroids etc and basicly shitting myself on the thought of losing my sight!
I had to have a month off work, alot of bad nights....and my Niece not coming near me caus as she put it ' i'd hurt myself'
Not saying it was bad but the hospital took picture's for training purposes!!!!
I cannot believe what happend and the event that took place, even writing it makes me think long and hard about getting out, have the row etc........
But if i ever see the fella again, believe me i won't back off!!!!!!
So at the end of the day i suppose i'm trying to say it ain't bloody worth it.........you might win the battle but not the bloody war!!
