Hi all.

im trying to get my lhd 1991 Ford Sierra registered for German plates today and the assessor at the Katz-zulassung (car rego place)said he cannot locate the emission type or understand the reference ‘BAG’ under position 12 of the vin plate.

As it it was originally first registered in Dec 1991 in Madrid (it’s build date was 19.aug.91) r said it needs a catalytic converter installation to become registered here). I had it imported to Ireland in 2015 and it was registered without any issue at the time so it’s basically going from Irish rego to German where the issue lies.

im attaching my Vin plate and the other identification plate so if anyone can help me decipher them I’d really appreciate your Ford help!

i believe it fell under emissions EEC IV or 1504 as it doesn’t have a catalytic converters.
