I've been looking at american engines but bit out of my comfort zone with them so far, I see the dodge 5.3/5.7 engines in breakers all the time and have asked on prices ($100 for a bare engine if I pull it plus tax)

Not seen a dodge magnum engine in there yet which is one that I was interested in getting for an engine swap. I might do a bit more research into american v8's.
