Hey everyone. Got a bit of an issue, I bought a focus st225 blind basically, had it transported to me with what was suppose to be a head gasket problem, I took the head to the engineers and the head was really out of shape. Had it skimmed and refitted it. Started up and after a few mins white and grey smoke seem to be pouring out the back. So it was decided that the head needed to come off again, took it back to the shop and they vacuum tested it and two chambers were really low, so all valves were cut and reseated, new stem seals, all good with the head now, while the head was off I had new rings put on the pistons, piece of mind. Everything put back and it was still smoking, not as bad admittedly, so I looked at the turbo, it was removed and there was play in the turbo, and there was quite a bit of oil in the boost pipes, so I bought a recon turbo, put that on, and it still chuffs out a greyish cloud not all the time but it is bleddy irritating. The annoying thing is the car drives really well now, boosts well and pulls through the gears nice, does anyone have any info or thoughts of what it could be? Pulling my hair out here.
